Maritime Administration of Ukraine has taken over the functions of the Inspectorate for the Training and Certification of Seafarers (ITCS)

Starting from November 22, 2020, the State Service of Maritime and River Transport (Maritime Administration of Ukraine) started to perform functions that have been an obligation of the Inspectorate for the Training and Certification of Seafarers (ITCS) before, including confirmation of seafarers' qualifications in permanent state qualification commissions (SQC).


According to the Decree No. 614 of October 12, 2020, of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, all state qualification commissions are created by the Maritime Administration of Ukraine, and seafarers do not have to pay for confirmation of their qualifications.
